The green stuff on the glasses may be patina, commonly known as copper green, in the form of grass-green clusters or dark green powder. Ordinary metal spectacles, the nosepiece connecting part is made of copper, if it is not cleaned often, human body sweat, external oil, dust, etc. may oxidise with the metal material, resulting in copper metal compounds, i.e. alkaline copper carbonate. Therefore, after wearing the glasses for a long time, the nosepiece connecting part is easily oxidised and rust green.
In addition, zinc-white copper frames, which are relatively inexpensive metal frames, are prone to green patina due to their poor corrosion resistance, which affects their aesthetics. A small amount of green patina sticking to the skin, generally have no effect on health, if the skin to produce stimulation, can be rinsed with water.
